  • Brittany Badinger, FNP-C

    Brittany Badinger, FNP-C, CARN-AP is a compassionate Nurse Practitioner with 15 years of healthcare experience; Ms. Badinger is the owner of Pathways Addiction Recovery and NOLA Par Intensive Outpatient Program, both located in Metairie, La. Ms. Badinger has dedicated the majority of her time as a Nurse Practitioner to providing unparalleled care to those battling substance use disorders. She also has a background in primary care, alternative & holistic medicine, and aesthetics. Ms. Badinger also enjoys creating art, exploring scientific research and spending time with her husband and two young children.

    Ms. Badinger has developed a known reputation for her individualized, passionate patient care, addressing patient’s physical, mental and emotional needs. Ms. Badinger thrives on taking the time to get to know each patient individually, while making sure that all of their healthcare needs are addressed. She values the relationships she develops with each patient, understanding that providing quality healthcare entails far more than simply providing a prescription.

    Ms. Badinger completed both her Bachelor of Science and Masters in Nursing at Louisiana State University; she is board certified in Family Practice by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and received her CARN-AP board certification from the Addiction Nursing Certification Board. She is also a SMART Recovery Facilitator and a Non-violent Crisis Intervention Instructor. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, she worked as a registered nurse in a variety of settings ranging from intensive care to home health, with each contributing valuable experience in providing the best possible care for others.

  • Susan Julius, Medical Director

    Susan Julius, MD, DABPM, DABFM, FASAM, CMRO, is a clinician, speaker, and teacher. She is board certified in Addiction and Family Medicine, as well as Physical Therapy, and holds specialty training in urine drug testing analysis. Dr. Julius studied Physical Therapy at Cleveland State University and graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, in Cleveland, Ohio. She trained for two years in General Surgery, at Tulane University School of Medicine, in New Orleans, Louisiana and completed a Family Practice residency at Ochsner Foundation Hospital, in Jefferson, Louisiana. For over ten years, Dr. Julius has incorporated her background in these areas, along with her understanding of the biology of addiction and her personal journey in recovery, to treat patients with this disease and give insight to their families. She was a staff physician at Choices of Louisiana, a Methadone clinic, in La Place, Louisiana and was Medical Director for the City of New Orleans Homeless Clinic and Townsend Clinic, in Lake Charles and Baton Rouge. Currently, she is the Regional Medical Director overseeing 92 beds at Townsend Recovery Center, in New Orleans and Avenues Recovery Center, in Metairie. She collaborates with several nurse practitioners and is Medical Director of Pathways Addiction Resources and Jackson Hands of Change, two greater New Orleans outpatient addiction treatment centers. Dr. Julius has been an expert consultant and keynote speaker for American Addiction Centers and was featured on NBC News, Fox News, Baton Rouge Business Report, and New Orleans Happy Hour Podcast. She worked with the New Orleans Re-entry Program, is active in AA, and served on the Local Action Committee for International Doctors in Alcoholics Anonymous. She is a member of the American Board of Preventive Medicine, the American Society of Addiction Medicine, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, and the American Association of Medical Review Officers. She lives in New Orleans with her husband and two dogs and loves to swim, garden and operate her vacation rental.

  • Sidney Miltz, M.Ed, LPC

    Sidney Miltz is the Clinical Director of our Intensive Outpatient Program, Nola PAR. He is a Licensed Profession Counselor (LPC), holding a B.S. in Psychology and Master of Education in Counseling.

  • Sarah Odom, B.S., NREMT-P

    Sarah Odom is Pathway’s stellar Medical Assistant (MA). She completed her undergraduate degree at Tulane University in 2013, studying Neuropsychology and Economics. Sarah always had a passion for healthcare, and soon after graduating she enrolled in the National EMS Academy. Five years into her career as a paramedic, Sarah decided it was time for a change. She joined the Pathways family in May 2021, administering injections and working behind the scenes to keep the clinic running smoothly. Sarah is currently furthering her education in health care. Outside of work she spends time with her daughter and tends to her plants.

  • Alexis Adams, RMA, CMA

    Alexis Adams is the Patient Care Coordinator for both our clinic and IOP. She received her RMA from the US Career Institute in 2020 and has been working in acute care since the height of COVID-19. Alexis is currently furthering her education in healthcare. Specializing in addiction, Alexis is committed to helping others in their recovery. She is especially receptive to her patients, being in long-term recovery herself. When Alexis isn’t being a rockstar RMA, she can be found staying in and spending time with her wife and child.

  • Bryanne Smith, Admissions

    Bryanne Smith is the front desk administrator at our clinic. She is a newcomer to healthcare but is enjoying her time with the Pathways family. Bryanne is currently working on her undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from University of New Orleans. She has a passion for psychology and mental health. In her spare time, Bryanne likes to craft, roller skate, and entertain her 4-year-old.
